An intergenerational workshop for people to explore kumihimo weaving, held in November 2025 as part of the Upper Lachlan Arts, Culture and Heritage Trail.
Winter Warmers
We held a Winter Warmers Exhibition and Sale in May 2025. The Gunning Garden Club used funds raised to purchase a park bench in memory of Ros McLoughlin, a long time supporter of both the Garden Club and Creative Gunning, who died in December 2024. The park bench was dedicated to Ros in December 2025.

Gunning Patchwork weekend 2025
The 23rd GPW was held June 27th - 29th 2025. Such brilliant creations made by all and many thanks to Acciona for their sponsorship of our three tutors this year. Overall another huge success and lots of very positive feedback from our particpants.
Stash and treasure sale 2025
Creative Gunning Inc.’s Annual Stash and Treasure Sale was successfully held on Sunday 2 March 2025 at the Gunning Shire Hall, attracting strong community support and a steady flow of visitors throughout the day.
Building on the success of previous years, the sale featured a wide range of quality art and craft materials, including fabric, haberdashery, wool, patterns and books, as well as larger equipment such as spinning wheels, looms and sewing machines. The number of stallholders and donated items created a lively and engaging atmosphere, with many attendees pleased to discover unique and affordable creative resources.
The event raised valuable funds to support Creative Gunning’s community activities and also encouraged visitors to spend time in Gunning, benefiting local cafés, galleries and antique stores.
Creative Gunning thanks all stallholders, donors, volunteers and visitors who helped make the 2025 Stash and Treasure Sale a successful and enjoyable community event.

Ancient Worlds in Harmony
Creative Gunning brought earth and sky together musically at two unique concerts on November 8 2024 at the Gunning Shire Hall. Audiences enjoyed a spectacular musical collaboration featuring accomplished musicians Joel Bulger on Didgeridoo and Henry Liang on Japanese Shō. We are grateful for the support of the Gunning Focus Group towards hosting the concert and also for funding from a Southern Tablelands Arts Country Arts Support Program grant. The Country Arts Support Program is a devolved funding program administered by Southern Tablelands Arts on behalf of the NSW Government.
Fibre to Fabric interactive exhibition
Fibre to Fabric allowed participants to watch and get hands-on experience with how to prepare alpaca and wool fleece, wool spinning, weaving and other ways of making fabric and woven cord. The exhibition provided “taster” experiences of every stage of taking a fleece to finished products, in order to a) have an interesting and fun experience and b) to get a feel for whether they would like to pursue any of the activities in more depth. Creative Gunning’s Fibre to Fabric event was made possible by funding from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) under their Strengthening Rural Communities program
