About Us

who are we?

Creative Gunning is a vibrant community of artists and makers based in the heart of Gunning. Formed in 2011, our not-for-profit group brings together people who love to create, share, and connect. We’re a friendly network of artisans, craftspeople, and supporters who celebrate creativity in all its forms — from fibre crafts and textiles, to woodwork, leatherwork, jewellery and beyond.

Throughout the year, we host exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events that inspire creativity and bring our community together. Our members also showcase and sell their handmade products in our local shop.

Our Shop

You’ll find our bright and welcoming shop at 84 Yass Street, Gunning — right on the main street. It’s more than just a store; it’s a creative hub where locals and visitors alike can browse, chat, and discover something truly special.

Every purchase from Creative Gunning gives three times:

  1. A unique gift for yourself or someone you love.

  2. Support for a local artisan who made it by hand.

  3. A contribution to the wider community, as profits help fund local projects and causes.

Our doors are open Friday to Monday and most Public Holidays, from 10am to 4pm (3pm in winter). Drop in for a browse and a friendly chat — our volunteers would love to meet you. You can also reach us anytime at creativegunning@gmail.com.

Governance

Creative Gunning Inc. is a registered incorporated association, guided by a volunteer committee elected each year at our Annual General Meeting.

Creative Gunning membership is available to people from the local region who will support the goals of Creative Gunning.. You can pick up a membership form at the shop or request one via email.

We look forward to welcoming new members and continuing to make creativity flourish in Gunning.
